It is in the region of Cusco that some of the most important ruins in the country are located, so, based on this city, use the fourth day from this itinerary through Peru to make a day trip to Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pukapukara and Tambomachay, which together form one of the most important archaeological complexes in the region.

Itinerary: 6th day

There are two companies that operate the approximately two-hour journey: Peru Rail, which is the most famous, and the Inca Rail.

The village of Aguas Calientes is the gateway to visit the wonderful Machu Picchu, enjoy the sixth day from your itinerary to visit the Handicraft Market, with local products and souvenirs, in addition to taking a photo at the famous “Bienvenidos a Machupicchu” sign, which is located in Plaza Manco Capac.

Then it's time to head to the most awaited point of your trip, Machu Picchu. The place, which is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the 7 wonders of the world.

Machu Picchu is at an altitude of 2,400 meters and was populated from 1450 to 1540.

The next destination on the itinerary is the city of Puno, on the border with Bolivia, which is used as a base for those who want to know the highest navigable lake in the world, Titicaca.

Small and located on the shores of Lake Titicaca, the city is surrounded by the Calvary and Kesanani mountains, but it is also known for maintaining the Basilica of Nuestra Señora de Copacabana, which stands out for being completely white.
