Back and forth places (departing from SP) for those who want to go on a trail and relax under a waterfall!

True ecotourism in São Paulo, which aims to preserve nature while people admire it, is on the rise. And most trails today are traditionally used by certain communities to bypass certain locations. This goes back to the colonial period in Brazil, when the Portuguese used the road opened by the indigenous people to reach the interior of the country.

Today, experts (ecologists, biologists and environmentalists) have the knowledge to transform trail clearing into science, teaching and landscaping. Trails in São Paulo have become existing or established paths with different shapes, lengths and widths, designed to bring the visitor closer to the natural environment, or to guide them to specific attractions, to entertain them or to use signage or explanatory resources.

The state of São Paulo can be essentially a stone jungle, but it is possible to find true oases in the midst of so much concrete. So get ready for a real adventure in São Paulo along trails where the presence of waterfalls and nature are the main attraction. Some are easy and require little effort, others already need proper heating to avoid a more serious problem. But just feeling the water from the waterfall hitting your body and seeing the presence of nature around you is quite a reward.

Below we present eight selected tracks. Put on comfortable clothes and get ready for a relaxing bath in a waterfall. And don't forget to observe the rules to keep the trail always well maintained. After all, ecotourism with interference does not fulfill its purpose, does it?
