Located about one hundred kilometers from Lisbon, the natural landscape reserves green plains with very attractive sunsets, as well as golden sand beaches, majestic lagoons and preserved nature. Small villages surround the region and date back to the Roman period with buildings, churches and medieval castles, marking an impressive culture and architecture. One of these constructions is the Marvão Castle built at the end of the 12th century and located in the village and parish of Santa Maria de Marvão. The city of Évora also has medieval architecture as a backdrop. It is the only Portuguese city to be a member of the Network of Oldest European Cities.

Alentejo wines are also an attraction, occupying prominent positions among the best in the world. On the Wine Route it is possible to get to know the manufacturing process and production of the best wines as well as taste them. Some wineries even offer a tour that relates wine with nature, such as outdoor picnics, bike rides through the vineyards and even balloon flights, in fact, observing nature from above at this time is an innovative experience. The gastronomy is also worth mentioning as it contains a variety of typical Lusitanian foods to themed restaurants from different regions of Europe.
