As it is a coastal city, the place is very popular in the summer. Therefore, commemorative dates, such as Carnival, Holy Week, Christmas and New Year, it is difficult to find accommodation if you do not book in advance. Therefore, at this time is when accommodation is also more expensive, so, depending on your budget, high season may not be the best choice. Especially at Carnival, the parties even attract visitors who are staying in neighboring cities due to the lack of rooms and higher prices.

But the summer and Búzios gives reason to be so sought after. With an average temperature of 29ºC in the hottest months, the more than 20 beaches in the city are perfect for swimming, hiking and outdoor and water sports, such as beach volleyball, kayaking, surfing and stand up paddle.

Outside the holiday months and long holidays the flow of tourists decreases. But the temperature, even if milder, does not vary much in the other seasons of the year, and it is always possible to catch a sunny day and still enjoy the empty beaches.

And even with a little more cold, the great diversity of restaurants, bars and shops guarantee a trip full of entertainment. Rua das Pedras is packed every night with tourists and locals looking to enjoy a good meal and shop in international boutiques.

The low season is also good for those looking for cheaper accommodation. Hostels, for example, have very attractive prices at any time of the year, and can surprise you on the right dates. THE El Misti Buzios, which offers shared dorms and private rooms, is one of the best hostels in town. With a swimming pool and rooms with balconies and large windows, the view of the city and abundant nature are present throughout the stay.

The location of the hostel allows the guest access to the main tourist attractions of the city, being a strategic place to stay at all times of the year, even on long holidays and commemorative dates. As a bonus, meeting international tourists who flock to the hostel can make the trip an international experience.
