If you don't give up high temperatures, lots of partying and excitement, summer is the ideal season for your trip. Be careful, because between the months of November and March the rains are frequent and can disturb the tour a little.
In autumn the rains begin to decrease as do the temperatures, but the sun still appears frequently in the sky. During the season the city is quieter and prices are more inviting.
Between the months of May and June, the city hosts religious events that are part of the programming of the Festa do Divino. Processions, masses and dances occupy the streets, a tradition brought by the Portuguese in the 17th century.

In July, for five days, the city hosts its most famous literary event, the Flip – Paraty Literary Fair. The event brings together national and international writers who debate different topics.
In August, since 1982, the Festival da Pinga takes place, where visitors can taste and buy the drink in Praça da Matriz.
Spring is undoubtedly one of the best seasons to enjoy Paraty. During this period it is possible to escape the rains, high temperatures and tourists from all sides. In addition, hosting prices are much more affordable.
