I know Buraco Azul, a lagoon with paradisiacal turquoise waters considered the newest tourist spot in the Jericoacoara region

The fishing village of Jericoacoara, in all its rustic charm, is already well recognized as one of the main tourist attractions in Ceará. But now, in addition to the kilometers of sand dunes and the calm sea that delights bathers, Jeri can count the Blue Hole as a new attraction, a pool with turquoise blue waters that dazzle any gaze.

Located in the municipality of Acaraú, Buraco Azul is a large lake that originated from a hole formed by the removal of sand for works in the region that was filled with water from the voluminous rains of 2019. The turquoise color of the crystalline water, which baptizes the name of the attraction is due to the soil, which is rich in limestone.

And don't worry, the water has been analyzed and is suitable for swimming and the depth of the lake even allows for swimming lessons. But it is recommended not to jump from high places to avoid accidents, the place does not have a lifeguard.

As it is a new destination, the place still has little tourist structure. There is only one restaurant that serves lunch, snacks and drinks and a straw and wood frame to support tourists and guides. Therefore, it may be interesting for visitors to take their chairs and umbrella, as well as a thermal bag with drinks and snacks if the intention is to spend the day on the banks of the Buraco.
