Hotel das Cataratas is the only hotel located within the Cataratas National Park. The building is surrounded by woods and is next to the beginning of the falls.
Those staying at the hotel have the advantage of seeing the falls even before the park opens to the general public or after it closes. By staying inside the park, guests cannot access the hotel with their own vehicle — a van travels between the entrance to the national park and the hotel at predetermined times, which may mean having to wait at times.

The hotel has 187 accommodations with wooden floors and a large bathroom decorated with Portuguese tiles. There are 4 accommodation categories, including rooms and suites, with sizes between 24 and 65m², some with views of the falls, private pool and balcony.
It has two restaurants: Itaipu, which is the most exquisite, has a view of the falls and an à la carte menu; Ipê has a more relaxed atmosphere and is by the pool.
Hotel das Cataratas also has room service and spa, gym, tennis court, large swimming pool and an outdoor area to relax. A very nice differential is that the minibar items in the room are included in the daily rate.
