The City Hall of pellets confirmed the expansion of the number of posts to test the presence of the Covid-19 virus in patients with flu-like symptoms. From the 10th, the test, which is free, will be applied at points located at Rua Marcílio Dias, 357, and at the Worker's Health Reference Center (Cerest), located in the old Railway Station.

In addition to these two places, which serve from Monday to Friday, the test can be done on Saturdays and Sundays, at the Basic Health Unit (BHU) Laranjal. At all points mentioned, the time to obtain the service is from 9 am to 5 pm. Important: Don't forget to show up with a photo ID. The result is available in less than 30 minutes.

The Municipal Health Department (SMS) gave the following guidance for the use of the units: patients with symptoms should seek, as a priority, the Sentinel Units (BHUs Salgado Filho, PAM Fragata and CSU Cruzeiro); for those with more severe symptoms, go to the Influenza Syndrome Service Center (Covid Center), to be tested for coronavirus infection.

An interesting resource made available by the City Hall since December is the so-called Vaccine Trailer. It is a trailer that travels through different regions of the city, taking with it access to the vaccine, especially for those who cannot attend the posts to be immunized. The presence at these strategic points aims to catch people who, for whatever reason, have not yet acquired any doses. In addition to anti-Covid vaccines, other immunizers will be available for application for diseases such as Influenza, Hepatitis B, Triple Viral and dT (Diphtheria and Tetanus), which affect the adult population.

The Municipal Health Department stated that “there are still a significant number of people who did not show up to complete the vaccination schedule and asks the population to seek protection. It is essential that as many people are fully immunized. The traveling points were designed in strategic places and days to contemplate more and more people and, thus, fight the virus in our city”, according to the director of Health Surveillance, Aline Machado da Silva.

The Vaccine Trailer is a joint action between the Health and Transport and Traffic departments. To update the vaccination card, it is necessary to present the documentation required for each situation.
