Coronavirus: Peru has just decreed mandatory quarantine and that the country's borders are closed for at least 15 days
THE Peru has just confirmed the increase in people infected with coronavirus in the country. In all, there are 71 cases confirmed by the Ministry of Health, which released the number on Saturday night (14/01).
In an interview with the Peruvian TV network RPP, the Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, Jorge Montenegro, said that the government of President Martín Vizcarra is evaluating the implementation of the quarantine regime in the country. According to him, “The idea is to have as little contact as possible, so that families stay at home. One person, at most two, will be able to go to the supermarket, the idea is to avoid physical contact with other people as much as possible”, he told the newspaper.
Like Argentina, which announced the closure of all borders in the country, Peru declared on the same day, a state of emergency and the closure of its borders due to the pandemic of the new coronavirus.
