As the journey is really short, many tourists choose to make the trip using travel buses. This is without a doubt the most economical way to travel between the two capitals, but there are other transfer options such as train and boat. 

To have more time in the city and get to know as many attractions as possible, we suggest you try to book tickets early in the day, between 8:00 and 9:00 am, and return at the last time, between 20:00 and 23:00. :30.

Of boat

A few meters from the Südtiroler Platz station is the Scholoss Belvedere, one of the most beautiful palaces in the Austrian capital. The place served as the residence of Prince Eugene of Saboya and is open for visitation. Its interior houses an art museum with paintings by great masters such as Van Gogh, Claude Monet and Gustav Klimt.

From there, continue walking towards the Heroes Monument of the Red Army, a monument in honor of Soviet soldiers that was erected after the end of WWII. 

The next stop is the famous Buggarten garden, a green area located in the heart of the city, surrounded by other important attractions of the destination such as the Austrian National Library and the Albertina museum, housed in a grand Viennese palace in neoclassical style.

Crossing the Museumstraße boulevard, you will find the Museumsquarter, also known as the “Museum Quarter”. An area of Vienna that is home to several galleries in the same region. These include the Leopold Museum, the Mumok, the Kunsthalle Wien, the Architekturzentrum Wien and the Tanzquartier, a center for contemporary dance and performance.

For lunch, find a restaurant on one of the streets in the bohemian neighborhood of Spittelberg, just behind the Museumsquarter. This is considered one of the most charming neighborhoods in Vienna and has great dining options between Breite Gasse and Sigmundsgasse streets. Continue your walk to Rathausplatz. The square is home to a majestic building that looks like a church, but is actually the town hall of the Austrian capital. Right next door is the Church of Votivkirche, one of the most important neo-Gothic religious buildings in the world.
