Research revealed an Italian monument as the most loved international tourist spot by Brazilians; check the full list
The world is full of the most varied and incredible tourist attractions, but which one will be the favorite of Brazilians? The hotel booking platform Booking conducted a survey that revealed the Trevi Fountain, in Italy, as the most loved international tourist spot by tourists from Brazil.
When it comes to national tourist spots, the research chose the waterfalls of Iguaçu, in Paraná, as the favorite of Brazilians. To reach these results, the platform analyzed more than 183 million reviews to arrive at a ranking of the 10 favorite international tourist spots of travelers.
The data analysts who conducted the study compared reviews of international sights left by Brazilian travelers from January 2018 to March 2019. Destinations were ranked by average review score and needed to be in the top 100 to be considered in the analysis. domestic destinations most valued by Brazilians.
THE Trevi Fountain is one of the most famous fountains in the world and depicts a shell-shaped chariot pulled by seahorses and guided by Tritons. Built by decision of Pope Clement XII, the name “Trevi” comes from “trívio” which means crossing of three streets, the place where the fountain is.
Stories and legends aside, what most attracts tourists to the imposing fountain, in addition to the obvious architectural beauty and its wealth of details, is the custom of throwing coins in the fountain hoping one day to return to Pomegranate.
In second place in the ranking of favorite tourist spots for Brazilians abroad comes the central park, in the heart of Manhattan. However, overall, Italy is home to more than half of the attractions on the list.
