Iceland leads the ranking, made up of 163 nations, which points to security in countries. Syria is the most violent place in the world!

According to the IEP (Institute for Economics & Peace), the security level of a country can be studied and measured from different factors. These are the quality of public services, gender equality, circulation of information, income distribution and level of corruption.

The index, calculated by the Institute for Economics and Peace, scores each country on a scale of 1 to 5, where the first value is the highest. In the 2019 report produced by the institute, the level of peace in 163 nations was measured, analyzing which are the safest in the world and the most dangerous.

As a result, Iceland topped the ranking for the second year in a row Global Peace Index. Surprisingly, the list goes on to New Zealand, Portugal, Austria and Denmark.

In addition, of the least safe countries on the planet, according to the IEP ranking, the last five positions are in the Middle East and North Africa (Afghanistan, Syria, South Sudan, Yemen and Iraq). Brazil was in 116th position, with the homicide rate being the worst indicator of the position, behind Kosovo, Haiti, Guatemala and Turkmenistan.
