Airport in the village of Jericoacoara opens and facilitates the access of tourists in the village

Now for travelers who want to know Jericoacoara, one of the most visited towns in Ceará, will have the possibility of arriving on chartered and scheduled flights in the future, which promise to facilitate access in the region. Before, the only way to get to the village was by land in 4×4 trucks, passing through fine sand roads and dunes surrounded by the beaches of Ceará. The closest airports were Fortaleza and Camocim, but the latter did not offer frequent flights, which often made the option unfeasible.

Leaving Fortaleza, the tourist still had a route of almost 7 hours to reach the municipality of Jijoca de Jericoacoara and then followed the rest of the way in jardineiras (4×4 trucks). Due to the difficult access in one of the most remote regions of the coast of Ceará, many tourists did not know the region for these reasons.

The great wait for residents and visitors to the village was the opening of Jericoacoara Airport, in the municipality of Cruz. With its first flight made this week (24), the novelty has become a great incentive for tourists and natives to travel in the region. Initially, the first flights are being operated by Gol and marketed by CVC, departing from São Paulo, from Congonhas Airport. For the second flight scheduled for July 1st, 80% seats have already been sold.

THE Jericoacoara Airport It has the capacity for up to 1,200 flights per year and will also receive certification from the National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac) so that other regular flights can be operated. Azul also announced a flight departing Recife from July 2nd, with departures on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Monday's flights were articulated only to meet the high demands of the July holidays - high season in the region - the other days will continue normally throughout the year.

In addition to departures from Recife, Azul will also operate a weekly flight from Campinas (SP), which will be confirmed in the coming days. Gol has also requested other orders to Anac, to increase the flow of aircraft in the region and are under analysis.
