THE Joao Fernandes beach It has an excellent infrastructure of restaurants and bars along its coastline and surroundings and therefore it is also one of the most visited in Búzios. The attraction is located at the northern end of the peninsula in an area surrounded by beautiful inns, hotels and luxury condominiums built on an immense rock wall that gives a unique charm to this part of the coast.

The easiest way to get to the attraction for those traveling by car is via Rua Joao Fernandes beach, which passes in front of the waterfront. There is also the possibility of taking a sea taxi to João Fernandes. Boats depart from Praia da Armação and Praia dos Ossos. To get there on foot, you need to take the main street in the center of Búzios (Av. Ribeiro Dantas) and continue walking along it, then Rua das Pedras and Orla Bardot, continuation of this main avenue. Walk towards Praia dos Ossos until you reach the second square that has a small lagoon. Take the first street on the left and go 400 meters to the Joao Fernandes beach.

The calm and transparent waters invite visitors to practice water sports, the tip is to rent a kayak or snorkel and explore the coast passing close to the cliffs and rocks that surround the beach.

If you like to walk along the tip and get to know the Joao Fernandinho beach which has access by a small trail at the end of the sand strip of Praia de João Fernandes or get to know the viewpoints overlooking the sea, a great place to stop and take some pictures.

At the end of Praia de João Fernandes there is a small trail of approximately 250 meters that passes in front of the Hotel Colona, there you will see a stone staircase that will take you to the small and charming beach. The regulars of Joao Fernandinho they are usually tourists looking for a little more tranquility and privacy. Unlike João Fernandes, this small beach has only small tents with drinks and snacks. With good shade and well protected from northeast and east winds.
