Army Historical Museum and Fort of Copacabana

THE museum works in the preservation, safeguard and dissemination of the historical memory of the Brazilian Army. Located in the historic Fort of Copacabana. The long-term exhibitions present the history of Brazil narrated from the point of view of military history. Visitors can also get to know the Fortification, a unique project in South America, in the form of a pillbox in which it was possible to stay for a long period without external assistance.

Villa Lobos Museum

THE Museum Villa-Lobos preserves and disseminates the work of Heitor Villa-Lobos through the custody, research and exhibition of the representative collection of his life and work, including countless scores, documents and personal objects of the maestro.

Rui Barbosa House Museum

The house was built by a baron of the Second Reign, at the time of D.Pedro II, in the middle of the 19th century. At the end of the same century, Rui Barbosa acquired the house and lived there for many years. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and rich period furniture, it is a testament to the style of living of the nobility and aristocracy of the 19th and early 20th centuries.

Banco do Brasil Cultural Center (CCBB)

Moreira Salles Institute

A property with more than 10,000 m2, designed by Olavo Redig de Campos (1906-1984), landscaping and tile panels by Roberto Burle Marx (1909-1994). The space promotes exhibitions, lectures, concerts, film cycles and events.

Republic Museum

The Museum of the Republic's mission is to preserve, investigate and communicate the testimonies linked to the history of the Brazilian Republic.
