Empty by quarantine, Abbey Road crosswalk, famous London street immortalized by the Beatles, is renovated
It's not just you who takes advantage of free time at home during quarantine to try to organize some things. The famous “Abbey Road” crosswalk, London which became known for the Beatles album cover of the same name, also got a makeover.
Enjoying the empty streets of english capital to contain the advances of the coronavirus in the country, the famous crosswalk received a small renovation. In recent days, she has been painted and her marks, once erased by time, have now reappeared white again.
The entire process was accompanied by the photographer Leon Neal, who posted the images on his Instagram. In the images, it is possible to see employees of the City Hall of London working to transform the famous tourist spot.
The quarantine moment was the opportunity they found to be able to carry out the restoration without the presence of tourists, who normally fill the place to replicate the iconic photo from the 1969 album.
