“Open Greenhouses” tour in Holambra, in the interior of São Paulo, allows you to discover greenhouses where different species of plants and flowers are created

flower growers of Holambra, city in countryside of São Paulo famous for growing flowers, they decided to open their greenhouses in an event “Greenhouses Open”. On the tour, which will take place on April 4th and 5th, from 9 am to 5 pm, it will be possible to know behind the scenes from cultivation to harvesting various species of plants and flowers.

So, in all, there will be 6 farms and also the facilities of the Faculty of Agribusiness of Holambra (FaAgroH) that will open their doors to visitors. In addition, during the tour, residents will tell the stories of the descendants of Dutch immigrants who turned this city into the National Capital of Flowers.

The event is inspired by the “Kom in de Kas” (“Enter the Greenhouse”), famous in Holland since the 70s, where this type of tour is very popular.
Thus, visitors will be able to take pictures, film, feel the textures and observe the flowers at different stages of production. Finally, the tour will be accompanied by guides explaining how the planting, care and harvesting processes work.
