Photos of Italy in Quarantine: Images of landmarks in Venice, Milan and the Vatican that remind you of ghost towns
After being subjected to temporary confinement on March 11 by the Italian government, the world watched one of the most touristy countries in Europe gradually turn into a ghost scenario.
To contain the spread of the new coronavirus across the country, the Italian government restricted circulation between cities in the country and took some measures that affected the routine of Italians. Among them, the closing of companies and commercial and public establishments, the cancellation of cultural events and the postponement of football matches.
