Sagrada Familia Cathedral
The city's most sought-after attraction began construction in 1883 and is expected to be delivered in 2025. In all, there will be 18 towers, 10 more than those that are open for visitors today. Inside, the work enchants both for its stained glass windows and for what Gaudí called a “forest of columns”.
La Pedrera (Casa Milá)
This project by Gaudí is considered the most important work in Barcelona after the Sagrada Familia. The construction took place between 1906 and 1912 and visitors are allowed in the rooms as well as on the terrace, which houses sculptures, stairs and chimneys.
Located in the oldest part of Barcelona and, while the tourist strolls through the grandiose buildings, it allows a journey since the city was taken by the Romans, through the Middle Ages and the Napoleonic and Spanish civil wars.
Parc de la Ciutadella
The oldest park in Barcelona was built in the 19th century and has attractions such as a waterfall designed by Gaudí, sculptures, lakes and a zoo with over 400 species. Other attractions are the Parliament of Catalonia and the Castell dels Tres Dragons.
This public park is at the top of Mount Carmel and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The site is a project by Gaudí and, like the other works in Catalan, has modernism as its foundation. Here, visitors stroll through the trees and the beautiful curves of the buildings, the main points being the Teatro Grego viewpoint, Casa Del Guarda, the Gaudí House Museum and the Jardins d'Austria.
The most famous avenue in Barcelona has many options of bars and restaurants and connects some of the most famous sights in the city, such as Plaza Catalunya and the Christopher Columbus Monument.
La Barceloneta is the most frequented beach in the city. The surroundings offer good seafood restaurants, shops and walks to the pier, Rambla del Mar and shopping centers such as Maremagnum.
