Places with clear waters to discover in Bonito

Standing out among the main ecotourism destinations in Brazil, the city of Beautiful at the Mato Grosso do Sul will surprise you with the natural attractions close to the municipality. The tourist resort draws attention for the numerous waterfalls, lakes, rivers and flooded caves that always gain more notoriety due to the crystalline waters, which most of the time help to compose the natural scenarios of the destination.

In this article we separate the attractions that stand out the most for the color of the water, which in most cases are crystal clear providing perfect visibility for those who enjoy the sights of Beautiful. Among them is one of the clearest rivers in the world, a limestone cave that houses a magnificent lagoon and charming waterfalls amidst the green of the forest that complements the landscape.

The floating of the Sucuri River is the most sought after attraction. Known for the transparency of its waters that allow visitors to observe all the diversity of aquatic fauna and flora in the region, the Sucuri River is located in the middle of Serra da Bodoquena.

The attraction is integrated within a private property 30 km from Beautiful, open to the public who, in addition to floating in the spring, can take other tours that the farm offers.

Another postcard of Bonito is the Gruta do Lago Azul. To get there, it is necessary to walk 150 meters in the woods to the entrance of the cave, then go down the 300 steps of the cave to reach the Blue Lagoon.

The blue color of the water is due to a combination of factors such as the location of the cave, the amount of sunlight and the minerals at the bottom of the lake, which is mainly limestone.

The Boca da Onça complex has 11 clear water waterfalls with a stop for bathing and contemplation along the way.

The attraction is located in the municipality of Bodoquena, very close to Bonito and its main attraction is the Boca da Onça Waterfall, which at 156 meters in height occupies the position of the highest waterfall in the state.

Lagoa Misteriosa is an attraction located in the municipality of Jardim (MS) near the Rio da Prata. The attraction is very famous for the incredible transparency of its waters and its unknown depth. Lagoa Misteriosa is considered the fifth deepest cave in the country, reaching more than 220 meters deep!
