By Study carried out by HSBC reveals habits, preferences and relationships among airline passengers
It sounds like something out of a movie: you embark on a trip and, during the flight, you end up meeting your soulmate. For those who find it very unlikely, know that this scene is more common than we can imagine. According to market research carried out by the british bank HSBC Last July, one in 50 people said they had found the love of their life on a flight.
The study was carried out with 2150 people from 141 countries. Another 6 thousand people from Hong Kong, arab emirates, USA and United Kingdom they were also interviewed about their habits during a plane trip.
Conversations, friendships and business during the flight
But it was not just the love relationships revealed in the survey. According to the study, 47% of surveyed travelers already started a conversation with a stranger who was sitting next to him. 12% stated that they had already made a long-time friend during a flight and 13% said they closed a deal from those conversations.

But, like everything in life, bad parts were also mentioned. about 45% of passengers said to be bothered when the person next to the armchair takes off their shoes and 56% said they would be uncomfortable if they witnessed a passenger acting unkindly to flight attendants.
Furthermore, 32% revealed to be annoyed when the neighbor uses his armrest and 26% would not be able to bear it if the person next to them started to snore. Other 30% revealed that they don't like it at all when another passenger falls asleep on their shoulder.
The research also revealed other behaviors of those who usually travel by plane. For 77% of respondents the best thing about a trip is to feel independent. The survey also found that more than 8 out of 10 travelers think they have a better understanding of the world after they started traveling and 76% feel much more confident when taking a trip.
