spotlab

An urban art space where you can skate, watch movie shows and participate in skateboarding, graffiti and music workshops, as well as try various delicious snacks.

This is the spotlab, a multicultural space conceived by famous skateboarder Bob Burnquist and television directors LP Simonetti and Akira Matsui. It is located on Ilha da Gigóia, in Barra da Tijuca.

Secreto Beach

Despite its name, Praia do Secreto is not really a beach, it is more a natural pool that forms at low tide between the rocks on the right corner of Praia da Macumba, on the west side of Rio.

Until recently, the beach was really secret, hardly anyone knew about it. But it became famous after going viral on Instagram. And it's not hard to understand why. 

The place is gorgeous. The natural pool is shallow and has crystal clear water. But be careful, visiting Praia do Secreto is only safe during low tide.

Located in Barra da Tijuca, Espaço Semear has several environments, where workshops and lots of socializing take place.

Grumari

Praia de Grumari is further away from the most famous strips of sand in Rio de Janeiro. It is nonetheless an incredible place to discover when traveling to the Marvelous City.

It is located inside an environmental reserve. With large rocky walls and hills covered by sandbanks, it has an incredible view.

THE Santa Cruz Ecomuseum is another one of Rio de Janeiro's must-see attractions. It is a Territory Museum that encompasses an entire neighborhood, with 125 km². 

In other words, the museum involves the entire community.

Gipóia Island

It was built by engineer João Fernandes Pinto Alpoim, in the mid-18th century, and connects the square to Rua do Ouvidor. 

The place is surrounded by myths and refers to the history of the Rio de Janeiro capital. In addition, there are several bars and restaurants that invite you to stay and enjoy this little corner of the historic center of Rio de Janeiro.

Piraquara Nucleus

The Piraquara Nucleus is one of the sub-headquarters of the Pedra Branca State Park, the largest urban forest in the world.

Located in the neighborhood of Realengo, Núcleo Piraquara has several attractions that can be visited from Tuesday to Sunday, from 8 am to 5 pm.

Among the places to visit at Núcleo Piraquara, the highlight is the Cachoeira do Barata, formed by the waters of the Piraquara River.
