Document can be issued by Conect SUS in three languages. In addition to being required for entry into some establishments, the digital vaccination certificate can be useful for those planning to travel

You have already been vaccinated against Covid-19 and now you need to issue the digital vaccination certificate? So, we will explain to you, in a very simplified way, how to issue the document through the platform Connect SUS, of the Unified Health System (SUS).

With the relaxation of isolation measures and the gradual reopening of activities by states and municipalities, the vaccination certificate increasingly becomes an indispensable document for entry into various establishments.

In addition, for those who plan to travel to countries that already allow Brazilians to enter upon presentation of proof of vaccination, the issuance of the document is essential.

“Citizens can present the national certificate whenever they need it, as in international travel, where some countries recognize the document for the entry of Brazilians into their territory, since they still do not have a definition of an international certificate”, informed the Ministry of health.

It is worth noting, however, that the digital vaccination certificate is not valid internationally, and it is up to each country to decide on its acceptance. Therefore, before traveling, always check the rules with the embassy of the destination.

The Covid-19 vaccination certificate can be issued in Portuguese, Spanish and English through the platform Connect SUS. This tool allows citizens to consult the type of vaccine applied, the date of each application and the manufacturing batch of the immunizers. The platform is available on the web or in an app for iOS and Android.

To access Conect SUS it is necessary to have an account on the gov.br, a Federal Government platform that centralizes citizen identification in all digital public services. If you don't have a gov.br account yet, we'll explain how to create it, don't worry.

So, let's go step by step to issue the SUS digital certificate?

1st step: Access to Conect SUS with the gov.br account

If you already have a gov.br account, just access the Conect SUS platform and click on the “Access” button in the blue block entitled “Citizen”. A new page will load, with a blue button at the bottom written “Entrar com gov.br”. Click on it and login.

For those who do not have a gov.br account, it will be necessary to access this link and click on “Start”. On a new page that will open, click on the “Create your gov.br account” button and choose between the registration options: CPF, login with QR Code, your bank, your digital certificate and your digital certificate in the cloud. The simplest option is the CPF.

After filling in the requested data, the system will send a confirmation by e-mail or SMS, which you must copy and paste in the indicated field. Finally, you will be directed to the password creation area, with a minimum of 8 characters. Ready, your registration will be ready and you will be able to access the Connect SUS.

2nd step: Issuance of the vaccination certificate against Covid-19

After accessing Conect SUS on the web or in the application on your smartphone, click on the “Vaccinas” icon. In it, you will be able to see all the information related to your immunization, such as which type of vaccine and how many doses you received, manufacturing batch, dates and places of applications.

At the bottom of this page, you will see a button titled “Digital Vaccination Card”. Click on it. A document will be automatically generated, valid for one year, with all this information and a QR Code that can be used by the competent authorities to validate its authenticity. To save it, click on the “PDF” option at the top of the page. The website or app will download the certificate to your computer or smartphone.

Anyone who has already taken the two doses of the immunizer or the single dose of Jansen, can issue the certificate in Portuguese, Spanish or English. Just click on one of the flags of the corresponding countries, located next to the “PDF” button, to generate the document in the desired language. The citizen who took only one dose of vaccines that require two applications to immunize, will only be able to issue the SUS digital certificate in Portuguese.

More information about the digital vaccination certificate

Check all information on the digital vaccination certificate before issuing it. If you find any discrepancies in your data, first talk to the platform support through the “Talk to Connect SUS” button.

According to the Ministry of Health, the vaccination certificate against Covid-19 is available on the digital platform within 10 days after application. If this does not happen, look for the vaccination site or the Municipal Health Department to request that the information be sent to the National Health Data Network (RNDS).

Several countries are already opening their borders to vaccinated Brazilians. Some examples are France, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Portugal, United States and Peru. However, it is necessary to pay attention to the specific rules of each one of them before traveling.

Therefore, consult the destination's embassy before traveling so that you do not have problems entering the country. See if it is necessary to present the certificate of vaccination against Covid-19 or the negative test.

Unlike what happens with yellow fever, which already has an International Vaccination Certificate (ICVP) for travelers, issued by the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa), it is not yet known when there will be an international system for proof of the vaccine against covid. Therefore, each country is imposing its own rules for receiving travelers.

In this sense, it is extremely important to have the SUS digital certificate which, as it is a document issued by the federal government with a QR Code for validation, has more credibility than the proof of vaccination that we receive at the time of application of doses, usually filled in with a pen. .
