Imagine a trail that runs through scenarios that seem to have come out of the “Lord of the Rings” saga? You don't have to imagine anymore, because now this place really exists. And, surprisingly, it's not New Zealand, but in the Spain.
Its about "El Camino del Anillo – The Ring Road“, a new trail of more than 120 kilometers that crosses the Sierra de Guadarrama, a set of mountains just over an hour's drive from Madrid.
An alternative to the famous Camino de Santiago, “The Ring Road” was designed to be completed on foot in about a week. Along the way, landscapes, villages and old fortifications, which are very reminiscent of the universe created by JRR Tolkien.
