How to get to Campos do Jordao
For those leaving the capital of São Paulo, the main access is via the Presidente Dutra Highway. When you reach km 118, take SP-123, the road that gives access to Campos do Jordão. The distance between the two cities is approximately 167 km.
Those departing from the city of Rio de Janeiro need to take the Presidente Dutra Highway until km 117. The point is a little after the municipality of Taubaté, where there is an exit to the Floriano Pinheiro Highway (SP-123) that leads to the destination.
From Belo Horizonte to Campos do Jordão, the visitor will travel 582 km via Fernão Dias Highway. When you arrive in the city of Pouso Alegre, take Rodovia MG-295 and head towards São Bento do Sapucaí. From there, just take the SP-42 and then follow the SP-50, which leads to Campos do Jordão.
The main company that makes the route from São Paulo is brown bird which offers several schedules with buses that leave directly from the Tietê Terminal. The company also has other lines for Campos do Jordão leaving Campinas, São José dos Campos and 10 other municipalities in the state of Sao Paulo.
The city does not have an airport. The closest one to receive regular flights is Guarulhos. Guarulhos airport (Cumbica) is close to the exit that gives access to Campos do Jordão. From there it is approximately 150 km away (2h15 by car).
This is undoubtedly the most fun option to get to Campos de Jordão. The rail access is made in the city of Pindamonhangaba, and passes through several points that show all the beauty of the region. Among them are the Águas Claras Park and the Santo Antônio do Pinhal station. Then the train slowly goes up the Serra da Mantiqueira until it reaches its destination.
