How to get to Buzios
Cabo Frio International Airport, 30 km away, receives regular flights from the company Azul. From Cabo Frio airport to Buzios it is about 20 minutes by car. Another option is to arrive through the city of Rio de Janeiro and hire a transfer to the city or with a transport company at the bus station.
The journey takes approximately two hours. After crossing the Rio-Niterói bridge, turn left towards Rio Bonito. Shortly after Rio Bonito, turn right – Via Lagos, towards Araruama/Cabo Frio (Região dos Lagos). At the end of Via Lagos, continue for 5 km and go up a small access viaduct to the RJ-106, and head towards Macaé/Búzios. After 14 km (just after the gas station “Até que fim”), turn right and continue for about 10 minutes to Búzios.

Best time to visit Buzios
