The trail is 180 kilometers long and connects several attractions in Rio de Janeiro, such as the Sugarloaf Mountain and Catacumba Municipal Park!
Have you ever heard about the transcarioca? THE trail recently opened in the city of Rio de Janeiro, is part of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) Green Passport, in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism. In it, nature and hiking lovers will pass through the natural beauties of the wonderful city, also getting to know four other conservation units in the city of Rio de Janeiro: the municipal parks of Grumari, Catacumba, Landscape Carioca and Natural Monument of Morros do Pão de Açúcar and Urca.
The visitor will also be able to observe all the fauna and flora present in this part of the Atlantic Forest. This ecological heritage of great diversity is home to 107 species of mammals, 53 of amphibians, 32 of reptiles, 481 of birds and 833 plant species!
You 180 km can be covered in up to 30 days only on foot. THE trail It is divided into 25 sections, forming an ecological corridor with walks for all types of physical conditioning, from the easiest level, passing through the moderate, to the most difficult.

The trail passes practically all the attractions of ecotourism in Rio, including the wild beaches of Guaratiba and Grumari, Sítio Burle Max, the Capela de São Gonçalo do Amarante (17th century), Pico da Pedra Branca (the culmination of the city with 1,024 meters), the Camorim Dam, Pedra do Quilombo, the Pau da Fome Complex, the Juliano Moreira Colony Historic Complex, the Nise da Silveira Museum, the Colônia Waterfall, the Lameirão Aqueduct, the Papagaio Peak (987 meters), Pico da Tijuca (1,021 meters), Pico da Cocanha (982 meters), among others.
