since November, England joined the list of countries that allow the entry of Brazilians who took the two doses of the Sinovac (CoronaVac), Sinopharm and Covaxin vaccines without the need for quarantine. That is, just as those who were vaccinated with Oxford/AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Janssen and Moderna can enter the country, now, those who took Coronavac are also accepted.

However, to enter England, Brazilian travelers who took Coronavac need to prove that they have completed the immunization (with both doses) at least 14 days before departure, in addition to the certificate in English, generated by the application Connect SUS, which is accepted by the British immigration authorities. Vaccinated Brazilians will be recognized as any British citizen vaccinated within the country.

Other countries, such as Spain, Finland, Netherlands, Iceland, Switzerland, among others, also accept the vaccine for travelers to enter their borders. Even without being approved by the European Medicines Agency. On the other hand, France accepts, as long as the person takes another dose of AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Janssen or Moderna.

Please note that, despite the fact that England has allowed the entry of Brazilian travelers without the 10-day quarantine, the new rules only apply to the country, in which the British government has jurisdiction for Covid-19 measures. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland maintain the need for quarantine.

And what changed?

If you are fully vaccinated:

Even if you are fully vaccinated – with Coronavac or another vaccine, will need to prove vaccination status. Issued by a national or state public health authority, be in English, French, or Spanish. Also, include: your first and last name, date of birth, vaccine brand and manufacturer, vaccination date, country and/or certificate issuer.

If you are not fully vaccinated:

If you have not yet completed the vaccination course, you can still go to England. In that case, before travelling you must take a Covid-19 test three days before traveling to England, book and pay for Covid-19 tests for the 2nd and 8th days after arrival in England, complete a passenger location form 48 hours before you arrive to the country.

After arriving in England, you must quarantine at home or at the place where you will be staying for 10 days and take your pre-booked Covid-19 test on the 2nd day or before and on the 8th day or after.
