The village is located 300 km from Fortaleza and is also part of the Route of Emotions, one of the most awarded tourist itineraries in Brazil, which connects the destination with the Delta do Parnaíba and Lençóis Maranhenses. The main postcard of Jericoacoara is located on the main beach of the village, signaling the entrance to the Jericoacoara National Park. The hike to the top of the dune takes just a few minutes from any point in Jeri and its panoramic view rewards every effort.

However, the place receives even more visitors during the sunset, when everyone is grateful for the nature and enchanting scenery that this part of the Ceará coast offers.

Praia da Malhada

Praia da Malhada does not have any structure of tents and restaurants, and therefore it is ideal for those looking for peace and privacy. The beach is next to Morro do Serrote and its passage is formed by sandbanks, rocks and cliffs. 

Those who are willing can face the trails that lead to the top of the hill and enjoy a panoramic view of the village.

Other must-see tourist attraction in Jericoacoara It's the Pierced Stone. The natural monument is located in an isolated area just after Morro do Serrote. Access can be made through trails leaving the center of the village of Jeri or on tours that depart towards Praia do Preá and other lagoons.

Low tide is the best time to arrive at the natural monument and during the month of July, the sun sets inside the crevasse.

Certainly one of the most charming places in Jeri, Lagoa do Paraíso is the most beautiful in the region. The lagoon is surrounded by some restaurants that offer the famous hammocks in the water. One of the best establishments is Alchymist, a kind of beach club with lockers, bathrooms, shower, restaurant and bar.

Access to Lagoa da Tatajuba is done on a fun 4×4 ride through the dunes that surround Jericoacoara. Lagoa da Tatajuba is surrounded by dunes that form a desert and paradisiacal setting. Merchants take advantage of the large number of tourists and promote activities such as SUP, skibunda and zip lines.

Hidden in the rocks between the beaches of Jericoacoara and Malhada, Poço do Ananias is a true natural pool that appears during low tide. 

Because it is camouflaged between the rocks that emerge from the beach sands, access can be a little confusing, the best way to find it is by asking tourists and locals who are walking on the beach, since the tourist attraction there are no signs or access signs.

Church of Our Lady of Fatima

Built in 1945, the Church of Nossa Senhora de Fátima is a interesting tourist spot in Jericoacoara. Entirely made of stones extracted from Morro do Serrote, the church is the scene of numerous events such as the celebration of the Coronation of Mary and the festivities of the Patroness and Missa do Galo.

The neighboring municipality is a few kilometers from Lagoa de Tatajuba and is known for its beaches with extremely clear waters. The city of Camocim is a great alternative for those looking to discover other landscapes of the coast of Ceará in a day trip.

Known as “Pracinha de Jeri”, Praça Edvá Esmerino da Silva is surrounded by great restaurants, snack bars and bars. The place has become a meeting point in the village and is located on Main Street.

The main beach in the village is surrounded by coconut trees, cashew trees and dunes. With shallow waters and few waves, Jericoacoara Beach is perfect for families with children and water sports practitioners such as Kite and windsurf.

Formed by two small rock hills, Serrote is located on the right side of the Jericoacoara village and one of the few places in the National Park that has vegetation. 

Serrote hill has several trails to explore the cliffs and other famous places such as Pedra Furada and Praia da Malhada.

The attraction is located in an isolated point of the way between Jericoacoara and Praia do Preá. The Tree of Preguiça became famous for its unusual shape: the tree has a curved shape and its trunks seem to rest on a sandbar. 

The phenomenon is due to the strong winds that cross the National Park.

The beach marks the exact meeting point of the fresh waters of the Guriú River and the salty waters of the sea. 

Praia do Mangue Seco is a true retreat and home to hundreds of seahorses. Currently the place is protected and monitored for the good of these animals, however, with a guide you can visit the place with tranquility.
