Blumenau beyond Oktoberfest, discover the main tourist attractions in the city to visit for two or three days

Day 1 – Historic Center

Blumenau's architecture is certainly a show in itself. Therefore, reserve a good part of the day to walk along Rua XV de Novembro. On site you will find several buildings with German influence, which also concentrates much of Blumenau's commerce.

It is worth taking extra time to get to know this part of the city, as it is on Rua XV de Novembro that the main tourist attractions of Blumenau are located, such as the São Paulo Apostle Cathedral, Castelinho da Havan, a replica of the Michelstadt city hall, in southern Germany. , the beautiful gardens of the Carlos Gomes Theater and the Dr. Blumenau.

Blumenau City Hall

Set aside a period of your trip to get to know and be impressed by the historic center of Blumenau. Built in 1982, the building that now houses the city hall is one such example. In half-timbered style, the immense mansion was the old railway station of the region, and today it functions as the seat of the city hall. Located in the Bom Retiro neighborhood, the museum rescues the history of the Brazilian clothing brand, with several pieces produced by the company throughout its journey.

Glass Park

The space was opened in 1997 and shows visitors how the crystal production process works. The collection is made up of pieces from Europe and, in addition to the factory, it is possible to have access to a store with various decorative products.

Beer Museum

History and beer lovers will be delighted with this museum. With pieces that were part of the equipment collection of the extinct Feldmann and Brahma breweries. In addition to these, other objects such as documents, old photographs and relics are also part of the collection.

Germanic Village Park

At Villa Germanica you will find German-style houses, where souvenir shops, souvenirs and restaurants with typical food and drinks. The village is also the stage for several events such as Oktoberfest, Sabores de Santa Catarina, Sommerfest and the Christmas festival “Magia de Natal”. Open every day of the year, walking around is like visiting a part of Europe without leaving Brazil.
